Device Status Guide

Your CaptiFi device shows its basic state on the LED, and the full picture lives in your dashboard under My Locations and WiFi Access Points.

The Device LED

If the Device Won't Come Online

  1. Check the Ethernet cable is firmly connected at both ends
  2. Confirm the device has power (the LED is lit)
  3. Verify your router has a working internet connection (test with another device)
  4. Try a different Ethernet port on your router or switch
  5. Unplug the device for 10 seconds, plug it back in, and wait 3 minutes
  6. If your venue has a managed firewall, make sure outbound TCP 443 and UDP 51820 are allowed — see Network Troubleshooting
