Partner Programme Options
Partner Programme Options is your guide to the three ways of partnering with CaptiFi: referral, reseller and white label. The models differ in who bills the client, who supports them, and how you earn. Your model is set on your account when you join, and you can move between models as your business grows: contact support or your account manager to start or switch.
Not a partner yet? See captifi.io/partners/msp or contact support.

Referral: Earn Commission, CaptiFi Does the Rest
You introduce clients and CaptiFi does the rest. You earn 20% of every payment your referred clients make to CaptiFi, for the lifetime of the client, excluding refunds. The rate is 20% whatever currency the client pays in. CaptiFi handles sales, billing and support, so there is nothing for you to run day to day.
You get a personal referral link and landing page, and you can register a referral before they sign up to protect your claim. See the Partner Referrals guide.
Worked example. You introduce a pub, The Anchor Inn, and they sign up on CaptiFi's Growth plan at £89 per month. Your commission is 20% of £89, which is £17.80 every month they stay a customer. One introduction, made once, keeps paying: after a year that single client has earned you £213.60, and ten clients like them earn you £178 every month. Commission accrues on the 1st of each month and is paid out monthly by bank transfer or PayPal: see the Partner Payouts guide.
Best for: consultants, agencies and installers who want to recommend CaptiFi without taking on billing or support.
Reseller: Buy Wholesale, Sell at Your Price
You own the client relationship. You buy CaptiFi at the wholesale rates for your account currency (the full rate card is below), set your own retail prices and invoice your clients directly. Your clients never see CaptiFi pricing or a CaptiFi invoice. You provide first-line support to your clients, with CaptiFi supporting you behind the scenes.
Worked example. You put a client on the Growth plan and charge them £89 per month, the same as CaptiFi's published price. CaptiFi bills you £55 wholesale, so you keep £34 per month margin on that one client. You are free to charge more than the published price too, and many partners do, because the price to your client includes your own service: a client billed £120 per month on the same plan leaves you £65 margin. Ten Growth clients at £89 is £340 of recurring margin every month before you add installation, support contracts or extra venues. The sums work the same in any currency: a US partner's Growth client at the published $129 costs $79 wholesale and leaves $50 per month margin.
Wholesale Rates by Currency
Every partner account has one currency, set when you join, and your rate card, statements and payouts all use it. The monthly wholesale rates, with the first venue on each client included, are:
| Currency | Essentials | Growth | Pro | Each additional venue |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GBP | £30 | £55 | £95 | £15 |
| USD | $45 | $79 | $139 | $20 |
| EUR | €35 | €69 | €115 | €19 |
| CAD | C$55 | C$95 | C$155 | C$25 |
| AUD | A$59 | A$105 | A$179 | A$29 |
| NZD | NZ$75 | NZ$115 | NZ$199 | NZ$35 |
Each additional venue on a client beyond their first is charged at the additional venue rate. Referral commission needs no table at all: it is 20% of your clients' payments in every currency.
Resellers manage clients, venues and margins from the partner pages: see the Partner Clients guide and the Partner Earnings guide.
Best for: MSPs and IT providers who already bill and support their own clients.
White Label: Reseller, Under Your Brand
Everything in the reseller model, plus your branding across the platform: your clients' dashboards, guest emails and monthly reports carry your logo, colours and support details instead of CaptiFi's, and the "Powered by CaptiFi" credit comes off your clients' splash pages. Wholesale rates and margins work exactly as they do for resellers. White label carries a minimum monthly commitment, agreed when you upgrade.
Setup is covered step by step in White Label Setup.
Best for: established resellers who want CaptiFi to disappear behind their own brand.
Which Model Fits You
Think about how you want to work, not just the numbers:
- You are an introducer. You know venue owners and you make recommendations, but you do not want to invoice anyone or take support calls. Choose referral: no cost, no commitment, and every introduction pays 20% for the client's lifetime.
- You are a managed-service operator. You already invoice clients monthly, you install and support their IT, and guest WiFi is one more line on your invoice. Choose reseller: you control the price, you keep the margin, and CaptiFi stays your supplier rather than your client's.
- Your brand is the product. Your clients buy from you because of your name, and you want the WiFi platform to look like yours end to end. Choose white label once your reseller base justifies the minimum commitment.
A useful rule of thumb: referral pays more per client than reselling at published prices only if you would resell at a thin margin. At the published Growth price, referral pays £17.80 per month while reselling pays £34, but the reseller also carries billing and first-line support. Price your time honestly before you choose.
The Partner Demo Licence
Every approved partner, on any model, gets a free licence for one internal test venue, valid for 6 months. It is there for learning the platform and building demos with real hardware before you put CaptiFi in front of clients. While the licence is active you see a banner across the top of your dashboard with its expiry date: see the licence section of the Fleet guide.
- Internal testing only: the licence venue is for your own testing and demonstrations. It must never be used for a live client venue.
- Client venues are separate: a client venue is always set up on its own client account and starts on the standard 30-day client trial.
- One venue: the licence covers a single venue.
- 6 months, then upgrade: you get reminder emails 30 days and 7 days before the licence expires. To keep the venue and your dashboard access after 6 months, upgrade to a paid partner arrangement; otherwise the licence ends.
For building prospect-facing splash page demos without any hardware at all, use the Demo Maker: it is available throughout the licence and after.
Partner FAQ
Can I switch models? Yes. Contact support or your account manager. Moving from referral to reseller is common as partners take on more of the client relationship; moving up to white label is a conversation about the minimum commitment. If you have converted referrals when you switch, agree with your account manager how they are handled before the move.
Can I mix models? Not on one account: your partner account runs one model at a time, and the partner pages you see follow it. The Referrals page appears on referral accounts; the Clients and wholesale Earnings pages appear on reseller and white-label accounts. If you have a client who would rather hold a direct CaptiFi relationship while you resell to everyone else, talk to your account manager about the right arrangement.
When do I get paid? Referral commission accrues on the 1st of each month from your clients' payments, and payouts are made monthly by bank transfer or PayPal once CaptiFi has confirmed the commission. Reseller and white-label partners are not paid by CaptiFi at all: your margin is money you invoice your own clients for and collect yourself. See Partner Payouts and Partner Earnings.
What happens when my demo licence expiry date arrives? The licence ends and your dashboard access is paused until you upgrade to a paid partner arrangement: contact your account manager, who can restore everything as it was. You get reminder emails 30 days and 7 days beforehand, the banner always shows the date, and expiry never switches off guest WiFi at a live venue.
Who supports the client in each model? Referral: CaptiFi supports the client directly, end to end. Reseller and white label: the client calls you first, and CaptiFi supports you with everything behind the scenes, from device swaps to splash page questions. Your clients' venues also appear in your Fleet Overview with health alerts, so you usually know about a problem before the client does.
Does the referral model cost anything? No. There is no fee to join, no minimum, and nothing to buy. Your referred clients pay CaptiFi's published prices, exactly as if they had signed up on their own.
