Appearance
Connected Guests (Live)
A real-time view of every guest on your WiFi right now — who they are, their signal strength, how much data they've used, and how long they have left. The page refreshes automatically every 60 seconds.
Where to Find It
- Log in to my.captifi.io
- Go to My Venues → Connected Guests in the sidebar
The home screen's Connected now card also links straight here.

What You See
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Guest | The guest's name/email (if captured on your splash page) |
| MAC / IP | The device's identifiers on your network (shown on wide screens; on smaller screens, hover over the guest name) |
| Venue | Which of your venues they're connected at |
| Signal | Live signal strength shown as 1-4 bars (hover for the exact reading) |
| Data | Download and upload volume for the session |
| Time left | How long until their session expires. A dash means there is no timer: the device is on the network but has not signed in yet, or the session has no time limit |
| Status | Online, Not signed in, Idle, Offline (left the WiFi on their own), Blocked, Disconnected (kicked by staff), or Expired |
Devices that joined your WiFi but never signed in through the splash page are hidden by default. Tick Show not signed in (top right of the page) to see them: a "Not signed in" row with a strong signal is usually someone in your venue sitting at the sign-in page.
Actions
Open the actions menu (the three-dot button at the end of each row). Depending on your WiFi platform it offers:
- Extend session — give the guest more time: 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, or until the end of the day
- Block device — kick the device off and prevent it reconnecting (confirmation required)
- Disconnect — end the session now; the guest sees the splash page again on reconnect
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Guest shows "Unknown" with 0B data | Your controller isn't returning client details — check your controller connection under My Locations, or contact support |
| Nobody appears despite guests being online | Confirm the venue filter (top bar) and that your access points show Online under WiFi Access Points |
| Actions greyed out | Not every WiFi platform supports every action — block/extend depend on your hardware's capabilities |
