Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Protect your account with an extra layer of security. With 2FA enabled, you'll need both your password and a code from your authenticator app to log in.

Setting Up 2FA

  1. Go to your profile settings.
  2. Click Enable 2FA.
  3. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app:
    • Google Authenticator
    • Authy
    • Microsoft Authenticator
  4. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm setup.
  5. Save your backup codes — store them somewhere safe (e.g., a password manager or printed copy in a secure location). You'll need these if you ever lose access to your authenticator app.

Managing 2FA

  • Disable 2FA — You can turn off 2FA from your profile settings at any time.
  • New device — If you get a new phone, disable 2FA first, then re-enable it with the new device.
  • Backup codes — Each code can only be used once. If you've used most of your backup codes, consider disabling and re-enabling 2FA to generate a fresh set.

Lost Access

If you lose your authenticator app and all backup codes, contact support at hello@captifi.io immediately. We'll verify your identity and help restore access to your account.
