Quick Start Guide

Get your CaptiFi device online in under 5 minutes.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

• [x] Your CaptiFi device and PoE injector
• [x] An Ethernet cable
• [x] Your internet router with a spare port
• [x] Your device PIN (on the Quick Start Card)
• [x] A CaptiFi account at app.captifi.io

Step 1: Connect to Power

1. Plug the Ethernet cable into the PoE port on your PoE injector
2. Connect the other end to the CaptiFi device
3. Plug the PoE injector into a power outlet

TIP

The PoE injector powers the device through the Ethernet cable — no separate power cable is needed.

The device LED will flash yellow while booting (about 60 seconds).

Step 2: Connect to Your Network

1. Connect a second Ethernet cable from the LAN port on the PoE injector to a spare port on your internet router

The LED will turn solid purple when connected and awaiting enrollment.

Step 3: Enroll Your Device

1. Log in to app.captifi.io
2. Go to Settings → Devices
3. Click Add Device
4. Enter the PIN from your Quick Start Card
5. Click Enroll

The device LED will pulse blue while enrolling, then turn solid green when ready.

WARNING

If the LED stays solid red, the device cannot reach the internet. Check your Ethernet connections and ensure your router has internet access. See Troubleshooting.

You're Live! 🎉

Your CaptiFi guest WiFi is now active. Guests connecting to WiFi will see your branded splash page.
