Understand your venue's WiFi guest data with CaptiFi's analytics dashboard.

Overview

CaptiFi captures detailed analytics every time a guest connects to your WiFi. The dashboard gives you at-a-glance metrics, visual charts, and detailed guest logs to help you make data-driven decisions about staffing, marketing, and operations.

Dashboard Analytics

The main dashboard home shows key metrics at a glance.

Analytics Cards

Filtering

Use the filter bar at the top of the dashboard to narrow your view:

SiteFilter by a specific venue — useful if you manage multiple locations

Guest Activity Chart

A visual line/bar chart showing guest connections over time. Hover over data points to see exact numbers for each day. Use this to:

  • Spot trends in footfall (growing, declining, or seasonal)
  • Compare different periods side by side
  • Identify your busiest days of the week

Recent Guest Logs

A table on the dashboard showing the most recent WiFi logins:

Guest Visits (Detailed View)

For a full, searchable list of all guest data:

  1. Go to My Venues → Guest Visits in the sidebar.
  2. Browse, search, and filter all WiFi logins across your venues.
  3. Use the Export button to download data as CSV for offline analysis or import into other tools.
  4. Click any guest to see their full profile:
    • Visit history — All visits with dates and times
    • Device information — Device type, browser, and OS
    • Marketing consent status — Whether they opted in and when
    • Email campaign history — Which campaigns they've received

Tips

  1. Check daily during your first month — understand your baseline before making changes
  2. Compare weeks, not just days — look for patterns (e.g., weekends vs weekdays, school holidays vs term time)
  3. Track opt-in rate closely — if it drops below 30%, focus on improving your splash page copy and incentives
  4. Monitor returning guests — a high return rate means strong retention; a declining rate is an early warning sign
  5. Use the AI assistant — ask questions in natural language via the AI Chat widget (available on Multi-Site and Enterprise plans)
  6. Export regularly — download CSV exports for deeper analysis in spreadsheets or BI tools
